Looking Towards 2021
As we say goodbye to 2020 there have been many lows with some highs thrown in for good measure. Needless to say this year didn't go even remotely how anyone pictured. Am I right? With that being said so many people have been sharing the good of 2020 and are finding the silver linings, big and small. To follow I wanted join in and make a mini list of the good things that happened in 2020 that I am thankful for.
2020 Goodness
I became a RRCA Certified Running Coach (SO excited to help people!)
My daughter has grown leaps and bounds. (It's been so fun to watch!)
My family has all stayed healthy (This is the most important thing!!)
I realized that I don't need to give people reason why my answer is "No". (It's ok to just say NO)
I was able to leave the previous industry I was in to dedicate more time to my family and create a new career that fulfills me and that I'm passionate about. (Taking care of my mind, body and soul)
I read somewhere last year about not setting new years resolutions because they are often too specific and can lead to the feeling of burn out/give you a sense of failure if you don't accomplish that resolution. Instead it's been found to set intentions for the new year which are much more broad and allow for the intention to grow and adapt with the year.
2021 Intentions
Be more compassionate with myself (I'm my own critic and really need to stop)
Live more in the moment and be present (Classic over thinker/multitasker right here!)
Run further than I ever have before (This is a little bit more specific but I'll settle for 0.1 mile more than I've done before so I feel that it's still broad LOL)
Trust the process that is life (Realizing I don't have to have all the answers and that life is unpredictable to the max)
Be mindful to take time for myself (Can be big or small but I need to fill my cup before filling everyone else, WITHOUT guilt)
I have never done a vision board before but wanted to give it a try and show what I'm hoping my 2021 will look like. It's a bit disjointed with a little bit of everything---just the way I like it
